SkinMedica has launched Lytera Skin Brightening Complex. It claims to reduce the appearance of skin discoloration and dark spots, but doesn’t contain hydroquinone. In clinical studies, Lytera demonstrated similar efficacy when compared to 4% hydroquinone.

“Recent advances have given numerous options for those seeking anti-aging therapies. However, treatment of dark patches and hyper-pigmentation is just as important in rejuvenation as fine lines and wrinkles, and there is a lack of truly efficacious treatments available in this arena,” said board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Annie Chiu. “The strong clinical results and multi-modal formulation of Lytera Skin Brightening Complex makes it a unique and vital addition to any brightening regimen.”

The packaging? A sleek white airless bottle, accented with silver.
